Spotlink Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 18, 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of Spotlink. They are provided as a complete legal document, organized into readable sections for mobile and desktop.

Legal note

Spotlink gives users information, not legal instructions. Users remain responsible for reading posted signs, following applicable laws, driving safely, and making their own parking decisions.

1. Introduction & Acceptance

Spotlink (“Spotlink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) helps drivers understand what is happening at the curb before they stop.

Drivers leaving a curb space (“Spotters”) may share when and where they are heading out. Drivers looking for parking (“Seekers”) may view nearby departure signals, curb-rule context, and related parking intelligence in one place.

Spotlink also includes optional tools designed to make curb rules easier to understand and manage:

CurbAI™ turns complex curb rules, timing, signs, and parking context into clear, human-readable guidance so users can make faster, more informed decisions before they park.

Ticket Guard™ lets users set reminders around upcoming curb-rule changes, including street cleaning, time-based restrictions, meter windows, and other parking-rule changes when supported.

Voice Assistant may allow users to ask parking-related questions by voice or text and receive curb-related guidance in supported languages.

Live Spots / Live Departures may allow users to view nearby departure signals or user-shared parking opportunities.

Spotlight is Spotlink’s curated partner visibility layer for businesses, sponsors, nonprofits, and community partners.

SpotZone Activations are physical, local, or community-based promotional activations operated or approved by Spotlink, its partners, sponsors, or authorized representatives.

Spotlink gives users information, not legal instructions. Users remain responsible for reading posted signs, following applicable laws, driving safely, and making their own parking decisions.

By tapping “Accept,” creating an account, installing the app, accessing the website, using Spotlink, joining a pilot program, submitting information, purchasing a subscription, participating in a SpotZone activation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Spotlink.

2. Service Overview

Spotlink is designed to reduce parking confusion, wasted driving time, unnecessary circling, and surprise parking tickets by combining user signals, curb intelligence, app-based alerts, and partner visibility.

Spotlink may include:

  • Live departure signals
  • CurbAI parking guidance
  • Ticket Guard reminders
  • Voice assistant support
  • SpotCoin rewards or access features
  • Partner pins or Spotlight placements
  • Fleet or business tools
  • SpotZone activation experiences
  • Promotional campaigns and pilot programs

Spotlink does not guarantee that a space will be available, legal, safe, accessible, free, or enforceable at the time you arrive.

Spotlink does not guarantee that posted signs, local rules, temporary restrictions, enforcement practices, construction zones, emergency orders, weather conditions, city changes, or other curb conditions are fully captured or accurate.

You must always check the physical curb, posted signs, meters, hydrants, driveways, bus stops, loading zones, school zones, temporary notices, emergency restrictions, and applicable local law before parking.

3. Eligibility, Accounts & Safe Use

You must be at least 18 years old to use Spotlink.

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it current.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

One natural person may not operate multiple accounts to manipulate rewards, referrals, SpotCoins, matching, Ticket Guard, campaigns, or other Spotlink systems.

Spotlink may require identity, vehicle, phone, location, payment, fraud-prevention, or eligibility verification before allowing access to certain features, payouts, campaigns, SpotCoins, Fleet tools, partner tools, or reimbursement programs.

You agree not to:

  • Use Spotlink while driving in an unsafe or unlawful manner
  • Stop, double park, block traffic, block hydrants, block driveways, obstruct bike lanes, or violate any law to use the Service
  • Submit false departure times
  • Misrepresent a parking location
  • Spoof GPS or location data
  • Use emulators, bots, scripts, scraping tools, or automated abuse
  • Harass, threaten, follow, or endanger other users
  • Sell or transfer access outside the platform
  • Attempt off-platform transactions
  • Manipulate SpotCoins, referrals, subscriptions, payouts, campaigns, or Ticket Guard claims
  • Reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or misuse the Service
  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe purposes

Spotlink may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for suspected abuse, fraud, unsafe conduct, legal violations, payment issues, or violation of these Terms.

4. SMS, Email, Push & Communications Consent

By verifying a phone number, checking a consent box, creating an account, joining a campaign, using Ticket Guard, participating in SpotZone activations, or using communication-based features, you agree to receive transactional communications from Spotlink.

These may include:

  • Security codes
  • Account confirmations
  • Parking alerts
  • Ticket Guard reminders
  • Subscription notices
  • Campaign confirmations
  • SpotZone activation updates
  • Payout or reward notices
  • Service updates
  • Support communications

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of SMS by replying STOP. You may request help by replying HELP or contacting support@spotlink.app.

Opting out of certain communications may limit or disable features that require alerts, verification, safety notices, or Ticket Guard reminders.

Spotlink does not sell mobile numbers for third-party marketing.

5. CurbAI

CurbAI is an informational tool that helps users understand curb rules, signs, timing, restrictions, and parking context.

CurbAI may provide guidance such as whether parking appears allowed, limited, paid, restricted, or risky based on available information.

CurbAI may rely on user input, maps, third-party data, images, location signals, timing, city data, historical context, or system-generated interpretations.

CurbAI is not a lawyer, government authority, police officer, traffic agent, DOT official, meter authority, court, or parking-enforcement agency.

CurbAI does not replace posted signs, local rules, temporary notices, emergency restrictions, official city data, or your own judgment.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether and where to park.

Spotlink does not guarantee that CurbAI guidance will prevent tickets, towing, booting, fines, penalties, missed appointments, lost time, property damage, or enforcement action.

6. Ticket Guard

Ticket Guard is an informational reminder tool designed to help users stay aware of upcoming curb-rule changes, time windows, and parking restrictions.

Ticket Guard may provide alerts, reminders, or warnings based on available location, time, rule, and user-provided information.

Ticket Guard requires users to provide accurate location information and enable necessary device permissions when applicable.

Ticket Guard does not guarantee that a ticket, tow, fine, boot, or enforcement action will be avoided.

Ticket Guard does not guarantee that alerts will arrive on time, be received, be read, or be accurate.

Alerts may fail or be delayed due to:

  • Device settings
  • Disabled notifications
  • Battery restrictions
  • Weak signal
  • App permissions
  • GPS errors
  • Internet issues
  • Operating system limitations
  • User input errors
  • Temporary restrictions
  • Incorrect or incomplete curb data
  • Enforcement discretion
  • Service outages

Users remain responsible for monitoring their parked vehicle and complying with all parking laws.

7. Voice Assistant

Spotlink may offer voice-based or text-based assistant features.

The Voice Assistant may help users ask curb, parking, Ticket Guard, or app-related questions in supported languages.

Voice Assistant responses are informational and may be generated by automated systems.

The Voice Assistant may misunderstand speech, accents, background noise, location context, images, signs, or user intent.

Users should verify all important parking decisions against physical signs, meters, street markings, temporary notices, and applicable law.

Spotlink may set usage limits for voice features based on plan, subscription tier, technical capacity, abuse prevention, or cost management.

Spotlink may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue voice features at any time.

8. Live Spots, Live Departures, Matching & Auto-Link

Spotlink may allow users to share departure signals when leaving a parking space.

A Spotter may indicate that they are leaving at a certain time or from a certain area.

A Seeker may view or access that departure signal.

Some matching features may require SpotCoins, plan eligibility, location permissions, or other requirements.

Spotlink may use geofencing, GPS, timestamps, proximity checks, or other signals to confirm whether a match or interaction occurred.

Spotlink does not guarantee:

  • A space will still be available
  • A Spotter will leave on time
  • A Seeker will arrive on time
  • The space will be legal
  • The space will fit the vehicle
  • The curb will be accessible
  • Enforcement will not occur
  • Other drivers will not take the space
  • GPS or geofence confirmation will work perfectly

If GPS data is inconsistent, Spotlink may request additional verification or may decline to release rewards, credits, or SpotCoins.

Spotlink reserves sole discretion to resolve failed matches, suspected abuse, reward disputes, escrow issues, or user conflicts.

9. SpotCoins

SpotCoins are promotional or platform credits that may be used within Spotlink where supported.

Unless otherwise stated, SpotCoins have no cash value outside the Spotlink platform.

SpotCoins may be earned, purchased, awarded, credited, deducted, restricted, reversed, expired, or forfeited according to Spotlink rules.

Spotlink may offer SpotCoins for actions such as sharing departures, referrals, promotions, campaigns, pilot participation, partner activations, or other useful activity.

Spotlink may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue SpotCoin features at any time.

SpotCoins may not be sold, transferred, bartered, exchanged, or converted outside approved Spotlink systems.

Fraudulent, abusive, duplicate, automated, or manipulated SpotCoin activity may result in reversal, suspension, forfeiture, or account termination.

Upon account deletion, suspension for cause, fraud determination, or violation of these Terms, unused SpotCoins may be forfeited.

10. Subscriptions, Plans & Billing

Spotlink may offer free and paid subscription plans.

Current consumer subscription structure may include:

Free / Ad-Supported Plan

May include access to live departures, limited CurbAI usage, limited app features, and sponsored Spotlight visibility.

Pro Plan

May include expanded CurbAI access, additional app features, reduced sponsored visibility, and other benefits made available in the app.

Plus Plan

May include Ticket Guard, expanded curb intelligence, priority or enhanced features, reduced or removed sponsored business map pins where applicable, and other benefits made available in the app.

Spotlink may also offer trial access, promotional access, limited free periods, discounted plans, or test plans.

Subscription features, limits, plan names, pricing, availability, and benefit structures may change over time.

Subscriptions may be processed through Apple, Google, Stripe, or another approved payment provider.

When subscriptions are purchased through Apple:

  • Charges are billed to your Apple ID
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple ID settings
  • Apple controls billing, refund eligibility, renewal, and cancellation rules
  • Spotlink cannot directly cancel Apple subscriptions on your behalf
  • Refund decisions are subject to Apple’s policies

When subscriptions are purchased through another approved platform, billing, cancellation, renewal, refund, and tax rules may be controlled by that platform.

No prorated refunds are guaranteed for partial billing periods unless required by law or the applicable payment platform.

Access generally continues through the end of the paid billing cycle after cancellation.

Spotlink may modify subscription features, plan limits, access rules, pricing, visibility logic, or benefits at any time, subject to applicable platform rules and law.

11. Fleet, Business & Enterprise Tools

Spotlink may offer Fleet, business, enterprise, operator, sponsor, or partner tools under separate agreements.

Fleet tools may include driver visibility, curb intelligence, parking risk insights, Ticket Guard-type features, operational dashboards, area analytics, driver education, or other curb-related tools.

Fleet or enterprise access may require custom onboarding, verification, contracts, invoices, data agreements, pilot terms, payment terms, or separate service agreements.

Fleet pricing, enterprise pricing, partner pricing, and custom commercial terms are not governed solely by consumer subscription terms unless expressly stated.

Spotlink may approve, reject, limit, modify, or terminate Fleet access at its discretion.

Fleet users remain responsible for driver conduct, legal compliance, safety training, insurance, employment obligations, vehicle operations, and all parking or traffic decisions.

Spotlink does not guarantee reduced tickets, reduced operating costs, city approvals, enforcement outcomes, driver compliance, or business results.

12. Spotlight Partner Layer

Spotlight is Spotlink’s curated partner visibility layer.

Spotlight may display limited sponsored business, nonprofit, sponsor, civic, community, or partner placements inside the app, website, map experience, post-departure flows, home screen, emails, campaigns, or related product surfaces.

Spotlight may include:

  • Sponsored map pins
  • Contextual partner cards
  • Home-screen spotlight features
  • Community nonprofit placements
  • Partner offers
  • Sponsor visibility
  • Activation-zone references
  • Local business discovery
  • Campaign placements
  • Fleet or driver-relevant partner visibility

Spotlight is not an unrestricted advertising network. Inventory is curated and limited to protect the user experience.

Spotlink may limit:

  • Number of visible sponsored pins
  • Frequency of partner cards
  • Placement categories
  • Zone density
  • Session-level visibility
  • Audio, video, pop-up, or intrusive formats
  • Sensitive or incompatible categories

Free-tier users may see Spotlight placements.

Certain paid tiers may reduce or remove sponsored business visibility, depending on the plan and current app rules.

Community, nonprofit, civic, safety, or informational placements may still appear in limited non-intrusive formats, even for paid users.

Spotlight placements do not constitute endorsement by Spotlink unless expressly stated.

Spotlink does not guarantee impressions, clicks, conversions, installs, customers, purchases, visits, revenue, exclusivity, or performance.

Spotlink may approve, reject, modify, pause, remove, or terminate any partner or placement at any time.

Spotlight pricing, sponsorship terms, activation terms, and partner terms may be governed by separate agreements.

13. SpotZone Activations

SpotZone Activations are physical, local, community, business, sponsor, or event-based promotional activations operated by Spotlink, its authorized representatives, or approved partners.

SpotZone Activations may include:

  • Tables
  • Flyers
  • Posters
  • QR codes
  • App-install campaigns
  • Local business partnerships
  • Community events
  • Driver education
  • Sponsor visibility
  • Giveaways
  • Demonstrations
  • Photos or videos
  • Neighborhood campaigns

Participation in a SpotZone Activation is voluntary.

SpotZone Activations do not create a guarantee of parking availability, legal parking, ticket prevention, business performance, sponsorship performance, app availability, or campaign results.

Spotlink may photograph, film, or document SpotZone Activations for promotional, operational, or reporting purposes where permitted by law. Where required, Spotlink may request consent.

Businesses, sponsors, ambassadors, contractors, or partners participating in activations must comply with applicable laws, property rules, permits, insurance obligations, employment rules, tax rules, and public safety requirements.

Spotlink may approve, reject, relocate, suspend, or terminate any SpotZone Activation at its discretion.

SpotZone sponsorships, partner activations, and paid local placements may be governed by separate written agreements.

14. Promotional Campaigns, Pilot Programs & Reimbursements

Spotlink may operate limited campaigns, pilot programs, reimbursement offers, app-install promotions, Ticket Guard campaigns, SpotZone campaigns, or other promotional programs.

Participation is voluntary and may be subject to eligibility, documentation, verification, location, timing, plan status, subscription status, campaign availability, and compliance with campaign rules.

Spotlink may modify, pause, decline, or terminate any campaign at any time.

Promotional campaign language used in ads, social media posts, flyers, videos, activation materials, or app-install campaigns may be shortened for clarity. All shortened campaign language remains subject to these Terms, the specific campaign rules, eligibility review, fraud prevention, campaign limits, and Spotlink’s final approval.

“We Pay Up To $115 Of Your Parking Ticket” Campaign

Spotlink may offer a limited campaign under which eligible users may receive reimbursement of up to $115 toward a qualifying parking ticket.

This campaign is discretionary and subject to verification.

To be eligible, unless the specific campaign rules state otherwise, a user generally must:

  • Have installed and used Spotlink before receiving the ticket
  • Have an active account in good standing
  • Have used the relevant Spotlink feature before the ticket was issued
  • Have Ticket Guard activated for the relevant parked vehicle, location, and time window before the ticket was issued
  • Have enabled necessary location, notification, and app permissions
  • Submit the ticket documentation requested by Spotlink
  • Submit any requested screenshots, timestamps, location records, or app records
  • Submit the claim within the time period required by the campaign
  • Not have manipulated GPS, app data, Ticket Guard settings, account information, or documentation
  • Not have violated parking laws intentionally or used Spotlink in bad faith
  • Not have already received the maximum reimbursement allowed by the campaign

Spotlink may deny reimbursement where:

  • Ticket Guard was not active before the ticket was issued
  • App permissions or notifications were disabled
  • Location data is missing, inconsistent, manipulated, or unavailable
  • The ticket was caused by user error, illegal parking, unsafe conduct, fraud, or bad faith
  • The user ignored or failed to act on an alert
  • The ticket involved a rule or condition not covered by Ticket Guard
  • The claim is incomplete, late, duplicate, suspicious, or unverifiable
  • The ticket relates to towing, booting, criminal conduct, moving violations, registration, inspection, hydrant, driveway, bus lane, bike lane, school zone, emergency restriction, construction, temporary notice, or other excluded category
  • The campaign budget, eligibility window, or pilot period has ended

Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

This campaign does not mean Spotlink accepts liability for tickets.

This campaign does not mean Spotlink promises to prevent tickets.

This campaign does not replace your responsibility to obey parking laws and check posted signs.

Spotlink may pay less than $115, decline payment, issue app credit, issue SpotCoins, request more documentation, or end the campaign at any time.

Spotlink’s decision on campaign eligibility is final unless otherwise required by law.

SpotShop Giveaways, Social Promotions & In-Person Prize Claims

Spotlink may also operate limited giveaways, contests, sweepstakes, prize games, SpotShop product promotions, app-install promotions, social media promotions, SpotZone prize activations, Rolvio meetup promotions, partner-event giveaways, or similar promotional campaigns.

These promotions may include prizes such as car accessories, driver tools, emergency products, organizers, lights, portable car equipment, SpotShop products, branded merchandise, partner items, discount codes, app credits, SpotCoins, or other promotional rewards.

Unless a specific campaign post or written campaign rule states otherwise, giveaway participation may require one or more of the following actions:

  • Following a Spotlink social media account
  • Liking a campaign post
  • Commenting a required phrase
  • Sharing a post, story, reel, video, or campaign link
  • Completing an entry form
  • Downloading the Spotlink app
  • Showing proof of campaign participation
  • Attending a SpotZone Activation, Rolvio meetup, partner event, or approved community event
  • Playing an approved in-person game or activation challenge
  • Claiming the prize in person within the required timeframe

No purchase is necessary to enter or win a giveaway unless the campaign is clearly structured as a purchase-based promotion where permitted by law. Purchasing a subscription, buying a SpotShop product, paying Spotlink, or using paid features does not guarantee winning.

Spotlink may offer bonus entries, priority eligibility, or separate app-user promotions where allowed, but Spotlink may also provide an alternative free method of entry when required.

Winners may be selected randomly, by in-person game result, by campaign participation, by approved judging criteria, by verified attendance, by social media engagement, or by another method stated in the applicable campaign post or campaign rules.

Spotlink may require winners to verify identity, age, account status, location, social media participation, app usage, event attendance, ticket submission, or other eligibility information before awarding a prize.

Giveaway prizes may be limited in quantity, available while supplies last, and subject to substitution. Spotlink may substitute a prize of similar type or value if the advertised prize is unavailable, delayed, discontinued, damaged, or impractical to deliver.

Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless Spotlink chooses otherwise in writing.

If a winner does not respond, cannot verify eligibility, fails to claim the prize within the stated timeframe, violates these Terms, acts fraudulently, abuses the campaign, or cannot attend the required claim location where applicable, Spotlink may disqualify the winner and select another winner.

Spotlink may require certain prizes to be claimed at a SpotZone Activation, Rolvio meetup, partner location, community event, or other approved in-person campaign location. Spotlink is not responsible for travel costs, missed events, inability to attend, transportation issues, schedule conflicts, or failure to claim a prize.

Spotlink may photograph, film, record, repost, or document public campaign participation, prize claims, activation zones, winners, testimonials, comments, social posts, or event moments for promotional, reporting, operational, or marketing purposes where permitted by law. Where required, Spotlink may request consent.

Participants must not submit false entries, fake accounts, duplicate accounts, automated entries, bots, fake screenshots, manipulated posts, altered tickets, fraudulent claims, misleading comments, or entries created through harassment, spam, or platform abuse.

Spotlink may remove entries, deny prizes, ban participants, revoke eligibility, or end a promotion if it detects fraud, abuse, manipulation, technical issues, platform problems, budget limits, prize shortages, legal concerns, unsafe conduct, or any issue that affects the fairness, security, or integrity of the campaign.

Social media promotions operated by Spotlink are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, or any other social media platform unless expressly stated by Spotlink in writing.

By participating in a social media promotion, participants release the applicable social media platforms from responsibility for claims related to the promotion and agree to follow all applicable platform rules.

Participants are responsible for any taxes, reporting obligations, fees, travel costs, or personal expenses related to prizes, reimbursements, rewards, or promotional benefits.

Spotlink may modify, pause, extend, cancel, or end any giveaway, campaign, prize promotion, SpotShop promotion, in-person activation, or social media promotion at any time.

15. Payments, Top-Ups, Payouts & Withdrawals

Spotlink may allow certain users to purchase SpotCoins, receive rewards, request payouts, or access paid features.

Top-ups, withdrawals, payout minimums, monthly caps, fees, identity verification, fraud checks, and payment methods may vary.

Spotlink may delay, deny, reverse, or review payouts for fraud prevention, account verification, AML compliance, chargeback risk, payment disputes, suspicious behavior, or violation of these Terms.

Spotlink may send secure, time-limited payout links.

Do not send bank information, card information, passwords, or sensitive financial information through direct messages, social media, SMS replies, or unofficial channels.

Payout links may expire.

Taxes related to payments, rewards, reimbursements, incentives, partner payments, contractor compensation, or commercial activity are your responsibility unless otherwise required by law.

16. Data, Analytics, Ads & Licensing

Spotlink may collect and process data needed to operate, secure, improve, and personalize the Service.

This may include account data, location data, device data, app events, parking interactions, Ticket Guard settings, CurbAI inputs, voice inputs where applicable, payment status, campaign participation, and support communications.

Spotlink may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data to create curb analytics, heatmaps, parking insights, zone reports, sponsor reports, Fleet insights, civic planning insights, or business intelligence.

Spotlink may license, share, sell, or provide aggregated or anonymized curb intelligence to partners, sponsors, businesses, fleets, public agencies, researchers, or other customers, where permitted by law.

Spotlink does not sell personal mobile numbers for third-party marketing.

Spotlink may display sponsored or partner content through Spotlight or other approved surfaces.

By submitting content, feedback, images, tickets, parking reports, departure signals, messages, or other materials to Spotlink, you grant Spotlink a limited license to use, host, reproduce, display, analyze, modify, and process that content to operate, improve, secure, promote, and support the Service.

17. Privacy

Your use of Spotlink is also governed by the Spotlink Privacy Policy.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding privacy-specific practices, the Privacy Policy controls for that issue.

Spotlink may update the Privacy Policy from time to time.

18. Account Deletion & Data Retention

You may request account deletion through the app where available or by emailing support@spotlink.app.

After a verified deletion request, Spotlink may delete, anonymize, or de-identify personal identifiers as required by law and operational needs.

Certain records may be retained for legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, safety, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, payment, chargeback, campaign-verification, or security purposes.

Certain logs may be retained for up to 24 months or longer if required by law, dispute, investigation, or compliance obligations.

Apple, Google, Stripe, or other payment providers may retain purchase and billing records under their own policies.

Upon deletion, unused SpotCoins, rewards, credits, campaign eligibility, referral credits, or pending benefits may be forfeited.

Deleting your Spotlink account does not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple, Google, or another third-party platform. You must cancel those subscriptions directly through the applicable platform.

19. Acceptable Use

Prohibited use includes:

  • Unsafe driving
  • Distracted driving
